TBN’s Impact

The Brother’s Network builds and sustain relationships with institutions, artists, and community members who work to amplify broad narratives for and about men who are black. The Brothers’ Network is continually growing our range of artistic, philosophical, political, and community engagement.

Events, Experiences, and Salon Conversations

Curated by The Brothers’ Network

The Brothers’ Network engages in Harlem Renaissance-style salons. We bring together communities in coffee shops, museums, galleries, and bookstores for an intimate guided discussion and dialogue featuring top-level intellectuals for a robust and informative cultural experience. We have curated over 300 salon-style events, readings in iconic cultural institutions in the region, and developing audience engagement. Our experiences have engaged, enlightened, and educated over 100,000+ people around the globe since 2008.

Dismantling Preconceptions

The Brothers’ Network offers a strategic approach to break unfounded patterns of fear, shame and ignorance, through the transformative experiences of The Arts.

We effectively eliminate illusionary truths by presenting men, who are black, in fully fleshed out humanity—as artists, thinkers and intellectuals.

Audience Development

The Brothers’ Network brings artists to audiences and audiences to artists.

We build and sustain new and diverse audiences for artistic, cultural, and theatrical organizations. Watch founder Gregory T. Walker in conversation on cultural theorist Stuart Hall, author, playwright, and essayist James Baldwin, philosopher and professor W.E.B. DuBois, and writer, philosopher, educator, and patron of the arts Alain Leroy Locke, and the founding and sustainability of The Brothers’ Network.
